Lina

My brother and his wife had a baby yesterday (his first, her third).  Her name is Lina Erin.  Lina is a nod to my mom whose name was Linda but was often nicknamed Lina (sounds like lynn-ah).  She looks a lot like my brother.  I'm pretty speechless...

Missoni for Target

I saw some ugliness this morning, and I'm pretty disappointed.  Women lining up at 6am and grabbing entire rack-fulls of Missoni for Target items.  They tag teamed and split up and ran around the store just snatching things from the shelves.  Yuck.  

The sum total of my purchases?  Rainboots and a thong.  Can't wait to see Rush's reaction.

Do-Over

So we learned the hard way that one should tape to the inside - not the outside - of the door when painting just the skinny edge.  I've been doing most of the re-taping and touch up which thrills me to no end.  Not sure if you could hear it, but there may or may not have been some sarcasm when I said that.  Anyway, on to room #3.  Oh, and since I bought that fancy camera and all, I better start using it.  My cost per picture right now is shockingly high.  Like a couple hundred dollars per shot.

A quick trip

I travel a fair amount for work.  This (and next) week are no exception.  Two days in San Francisco is actually pretty lovely - even when working.  We hit up some shopping in Union Square (while I reminisced about running and the start of the Nike Women's Marathon a couple years ago) and then spent a couple hours in Berkeley.  The best thing though?  The best thing was my lunch in Berkeley.  The special salad:
